Julia Baker, head chef, CEO and founder of Julia Baker Confections, was honored by being named to the list of 2010’s Women Who Move the Valley by Arizona Foothills Magazine.
Always hard at work, both professionally and personally, Julia is thrilled to be honored by Arizona Foothills Magazine. For the past 5 years, Julia has built up her Scottsdale business that creates high-end, hand-made chocolates and custom-designed cakes. She started creating her chocolates out of her home, but now operates a factory and office in north Scottsdale, employing 19 people. Julia Baker Confections are sold at Valley and Tuscon AJ's Fine Foods and Whole Foods locations, specialty gift boutiques and through her
web site. Her custom cake creations are ordered by contacting Julia directly. She is about to open her first retail location in Paradise Valley, Arizona.
Besides building up and promoting her business, Julia also supports the Fresh Start Women’s Foundation and Childhelp’s The Bridge outreach program.
